Timothy "Tim" Kniffen

November 20, 1950 ~ May 10, 2026

Timothy Charles Kniffen, 75, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tim was born on November 20, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Mullinex) Kniffen. He was united in marriage to Patricia Wirth on May 3, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tim worked at DW products in Cedar Rapids. He loved to skeet shoot and go fishing.

Tim is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Tracy (Jerry) VanDee; grandchildren, Vania Kniffen and Matthew Kniffen; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pamela Rickabaugh; nieces, Crystal (Brad) Burgess and Heather Henderson; and two great-nieces and one nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank St. Croix hospice for the extraordinary care that Tim received.

  2. We have so appreciated having Tim and Pat as neighbors for the past 13 years. We always loved when our paths crossed during dog walking, yard work, garden produce and sometimes cookies. Our conversations were always filled with fun and laughter! We will miss Tim so much. Our prayers are with Pat and the family. We know God’s great love will help you through this tough time.

  4. So sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. He will be missed by many. He was a classmate a neighbor a fellow trap shooter. My condolences to the family.

  5. Sad to hear of Tim’s passing. He was a classmate and a friend in high school. I used to help him work on his red Comet GT, and went to the Cedar Falls dragstrip with him. I also remember Tim from trap shooting at the Otter Creek gun club. My sympathies to Tim’s family.
