Scott Nelson, 47, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, of lung cancer. Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Deacon Mike Klappholz. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his parents, William and Darlene Nelson; a daughter; his grandmother, Evelyn Brummer; many friends, including two special friends, Rex and Tora; three aunts, Bonnie, Sheila, and Gloria; one uncle, Rodney; and many cousins. Scott was born November 2, 1962, in Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery.
