Richard Donald Grady, 68, of 3701 16th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, died at home on Friday, March 13, 2009, following a short illness. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. William Harnish, with military honors. Survivors include a son, Kevin Grady; daughter, Kim Grady; mother, Helen Butterfield; three brothers, Robert (Rosie), Rodney, and Joe Grady; two grandsons, Christopher and Cameron Grady; two nephews, Jason and Jeff Grady; three great nephews, Ryan, Logan, and Gage Grady; and a special friend, Pauline Doyle. Richard was born May 9, 1940, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Donald and Loretta (Daves) Grady. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years and worked for Cryovac Sealed Air Corporation for over 30 years. Military honors by American Legion Hanford Post #9.







It’s been many, many years since I saw Dick. We went to school together and both servered in the U.S. Navy. My condolences to the family.
