Phyllis Dvorak

Phyllis Jean Dvorak, 94, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with visitation held one hour prior to service. St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Private Family Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is assisting Phyllis’s family with arrangements.

Phyllis was born on July 7, 1931, in Keota, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Frances (Peiffer) Redeker. She was united in marriage to Richard Dvorak on May 21, 1955, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids.

Phyllis graduated from Coggan High School. She worked as an X-ray Technician for many years, retired, and worked for Hy-Vee Drugstore for over twenty years. Phyllis was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, walking, hiking, Iowa Hawkeye Football, NFL Football, and snow birding in Mesa, Arizona.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Craig (Laurie) Dvorak, Jill Dvorak, Lisa Dvorak, and Kent Dvorak; grandchildren, Jennifer Dvorak, Travis Powers, Ashley Dvorak, Brock (Kendra) Dvorak, Nicholas Dvorak, and Natalie (Collin) Leavy; great-grandchildren, Rhiana, Makai, Kayden, and Georgie; and great-great granddaughter, Laiana.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Charlene Homer, Jerry Redeker, Thomas Redeker, and Sharon Hudachek.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
