To Mable’s family, I’m so sorry for your loss….I remember Mable well as I worked at the grocery store in Mt. Vernon and would see her when she would come and get her “weekly” stash as she called it. I remember her coming over with Clare. Clare and Arlene lived neighbors to me many years ago when they lived west of Mt. Vernon. Mable was a funny gal, always kidding about something and I will always have many good memories of her, as I’m sure you all do. Hold them close and Bless Marla for helping with her. My sympathy to you all, Mable was a very special person…. Annamae Stoneking Baker
I am sorry to read about the passing of your love one and I send my sincere condolences to the family and friends. When the enemy death strikes our grief can be great. It is at times like this that we need comfort and support whether we are acquainted or not. May you find comfort in Almighty God promise of the resurrection.-Acts 24:15. All of God’s promises will come true, for it is impossible for God to lie.-Hebrews 6:18. Respectfully,
Your mom was a very special lady. She provided us with many smiles and laughs when they lived here in Lisbon and attended church with us. I was once one of her “secret daughters” at church. I lived 2 blocks from her, and it was not easy to do anything “secret” with her “eagle eye” LOL. I will always hear her say “Well, you know…” She wrote me some very nice notes when my parents passed away in the last couple of years. What a sharp woman! We lost another one of our “quilter ladies” last summer – I can picture them in heaven laughing and working together now. She will always be remembered!
