Lucie Seebeck

Lucie Hrubant Seebeck, 91, of Leavenworth, Kansas, formerly of Lisbon, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in Leavenworth. Services 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices Mount Vernon Chapel by the Reverend Linda Stransky. The family will greet friends 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, and from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday in the chapel. Burial Lisbon Cemetery. Surviving Lucie are two sons: Lanny (Myong) Seebeck of Leavenworth, and Denny (Ellen) Seebeck of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren: Maria Mitchem and Michael Seebeck; one great granddaughter Kendra Mitchem all of Leavenworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, two grandchildren: Bryan and Sonya Seebeck. Lucie was born January 6, 1915 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hrubant. Lucie married Ernest C. Seebeck on February 20, 1936 in Oklahoma City. Ernest died June 2, 2001. The couple moved from Oklahoma City to Cedar County in 1937, and to rural Lisbon in 1943. Lucy was a homemaker throughout her life, and attended the Lisbon United Methodist Church. A memorial fund In Lucie's honor has been established.
