Kevin was born on November 10, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John and Marlene (Moffatt) Ramsey.

He then went to play for the Blue Stars in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, in 1980. Kevin then drove bus for the Velvet Knights in Anaheim, California, from 1986-1991.
Kevin was a fantastic storyteller, cook, and baker. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan, model train, and model fanatic. Kevin lived his own life, was stubborn and obstinate, but would give the shirt off his back to help anyone.
Kevin is survived by his siblings, Robert “Bob” (Vicki) Ramsey, Kathy (Tim) Steel, and Sheri (Kevin) Springman; many nieces & nephews; and many Drum Corps friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marie (Larry) Lanning; and nieces, Stephanie (Ramsey) Thur and Kathleen Springman.
Though you’re gone, you’re still so near, in whispered winds, I feel you here.
The jokes we shared, the way you cared, are in the quiet moments we once bared.
Each tear I shed becomes a light, a little star in silent night.
Though you’re not where I can see, you live in every part of me.
Kevin left his shoes on the field one last time.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Oldorf Hospice House, for the extraordinary care Kevin received.

Thank you for the wonderful memories and stories. Love you forever, Uncle Kevin!
