Guestbook

  1. I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Jacob was not only a talented and hard-working music student, but also clever and fun to be around. We will be lifting your family up in our prayers.

  2. I’am deeply sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time in your lives. Susan Bowen (Jeff Bervids sister)

  3. I don?t know your family nor did I know Jacob; but like others, my heart has been touched by last week?s news of his death. A death of a loved one at such a young age seems the cruelest of blows?gone are our dreams of their future and all that it held for us, gone is the day-by-day joy we found in that person. We ask ?why??? even of our Lord. I believe one of God?s ?whys? is that it is His way of preparing us for a new direction in our service to Him. You began that new direction by donating Jacob?s organs so that he might live on in others. I pray that in the days, weeks, months ahead, in the quiet times, you feel God?s hand on you in comfort and in direction.

  4. The thoughts and prayers of all the small communities and schools in the area are with you. May God walk with you through the turbulence, and help you find happy memories to cherish.

  5. I did get the opportunity to personally know Jacob. He was a rare and special kind of child. Jacob was always quick with a joke and he ALWAYS had a smile on his face. I can not imagine the grief your family is feeling each and every day. As you mentioned earlier Jacob had accepted Christ into his life and I can only hope that this brings some comfort to all.

  6. I had the privilege of knowing Jacob for a short period of time, from August through late September when I drove his bus. Witty, tenderhearted and one of the most polite kids I have ever had on my bus!! May you find peace in your memories and know that the Lord is watching over him until you meet again in Heaven.

  7. I had the oppertunity to know jake through work. We here at his dental office were pleased to work on him. Jake started with us doing orthodontic work and was always one of your favorate patients. Jake always had a smile when he came in and was always a pleasure to work on. My prayers go out to all his family may they find peace in his memories.

  8. From the moment the call came in I said a prayer for your family and our staff, and will continue to keep your family in my prayers. We could sense the true love inwhich your family share for one another, lean on each other along with other family and friends. I can not begin to imagine your families’ great pain. Your families’ choice for organ donation is a beautiful gift and I pray if provides some comfort to your family in these very difficult days.

  9. Very sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family. It’s times like this that God has a way of just showering us with love and hope. And know there is a reason that God took him home at such a young age. God Bless.

  10. I attended MVHS and was shocked to hear the sad news. My nephew is in the 7th grade there. May God bless and guide all students, the family of Jake, and anyone touched or affected by his unexpected passing. It is so difficult when it is such a young person.
