Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Gary was always a pillar of the community to me when I came here 12 years ago. I watched him be a friend, a gentleman, and a loving father always. I know he’s in the arms of his beloved as he goes into heaven for his final dance with his beloved wife God bless her soul. God’s peace be with you and all of your family as you heal.

  2. Gary was my cousin–we were the same age. We grew up and went to school together. He had a delightful sense of humor–like his mom, my Aunt Mary. Our family will miss him–gone only two days before his birthday. May his sister Cindy, his daughters and grandchildren be especially blessed and comforted at this time of loss.

    • Gary was a member of my graduating class, MVHS 1967. It’s really sad for our class to lose such a well-liked class member anytime, but especially as we get a year away from our 60th graduation anniversary.
Blessings to you Gary as you reach your final reward. RIP.

  3. Lots of memories of my brother Michael & Gary. Sending our condolences ❣️

  4. I remember Gary from school in Mount Vernon. He always had a friendly smile and a nod or a wave. He will be missed.

    Sorry for your loss 🏵️❤️

  5. Brandi & Stephanie,
I’m so sorry for your loss, how sad. Gary was always a fun, teasing guy. I have known him an his family for many years. We used to spend a lot of time at Ward and Mary’s and the kids were always there. I know what a heartache this is for your family, always think of your Dad with love and remember his big smile. RIP Gary……

  6. I Loved this family since the day I met them. They treated me like they knew me forever and made me feel like I was always family. I’ve missed LeAnn my sister from another mother but I am so sad to hear of Gary’s passing. He was the Best friend, jokester, and he loved his family..he will be missed Greatly! Tell everyone Hi Gary…I love them 🙏🏻❤️

  7. I worked with Gary on the Wears Auctioneering team. It was great working with him. Sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.

  8. Viter Family, I’m very Sorry for your Loss. My Thoughts and Prayers are with you all. The 1st time I met Gary, Bo & I went Iowa to stay with Aunt Mary and Uncle Ward. We were at the Bar Cindy was working at. We were getting ready to leave and Gary appeared from somewhere. He grabbed me and threw me in his vehicle and took off. I had no idea who he was so I thought I was being kidnapped. We finally got out to him & LeAnn’s and she came out and told me who he was. I was so relieved. Gary was a true Viter Man.

  9. So sorry to learn of Gary’s death. Didn’t see him often but always did enjoy visiting with him whenever we would cross paths. He was a good man and I hope that his friends, family and good memories will help you in the days ahead. Thelma and I will keep all of you in our prayers.
