Sympathies to the family in the passing of a great woman. I so enjoyed staying at the Hoke house west of MV when I was in grade school because Florence always made me feel so welcome. She laughed a lot and seemed to have fun doing whatever was required of her. She raised a wonderful set of kids (and it appears grandkids, too, by the obit)and the world was a better place for her being in it. Oh, that we could all be more like her! Rita, class of ’68
We send sincere sympathy to the entire family of Florence Hoke. We knew Florence through her brother, Stanley. Stan & Gladys were my Aunt & Uncle and I spent time with them during the summer when growing up. My husband, Bob, and our children also visited them when our kids were young. The entire Zenisek family always made us feel welcome We send sympathy especially to Clarence and Loretta. Bob & Betty Kiesau, Monona, IA
My sincerest sympathies go to all of the Hoke family. I know Florence must have been really proud of all you. It looks like you have all done well. Who would have thought, Carol, you would have 2 doctors in your family! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have such good memories of the whole family, but most especially, Carol, of course! I lost my husband 6 years ago, Mike a few years later, and my son, Josh, in 2009. Losing loved ones is really hard. It’s good you all have your religion to help give you peace. Most Sincerely, Jane Baker Hardin
