Douglas Daywitt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clayton Douglas Daywitt. He passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the age of 55. Memorial Services: 2:30 pm. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Cedar Rapids Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4401 42^nd Street NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52411.  Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.

He was a joy to many and will be greatly missed. Doug’s children, Roman (Crystal), the oldest, the joy of his life, and Roman’s two kids, Kamryn and Nova; Abby, his spitfire; and Lance, the youngest, are left to remember him.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Patricia Daywitt; dad, Clayton Daywitt; and sister, Ginger Dales.

His girlfriend, Stephanie Smith, was with Doug 5½ years, caregiver to him for the last 2½. She was the love of Doug’s life. They had a particularly good time fishing off 3^rd Avenue and 16^th Avenue bridges.
