Local Obituary Donald E. Gerber, 78, of 1225 42nd St. S.E., Cedar Rapids, formerly of Lead Hill, Arkansas, and Jackson Center, Ohio, died Saturday December 23, 2006 in his home from pancreatic cancer. Memorial services, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, at the First United Methodist Church of Marion by the Reverend Melisa Bracht-Wagner. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial services will also be held, 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2006 at Lord of the Lake Lutheran Church in Diamond City, Arkansas with military rites. Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices Mount Vernon Chapel are assisting the family with local arrangements. Donald is survived by five children: Gerald of Mount Vernon, Gene of Cedar Rapids, Gayle Everitt of Milton, Florida, Gladys Wyche of Jay, Florida, Glenn of Cape Coral, Florida; and one sister Lois Mann of Jackson Center, Ohio. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law Donald McGowan. Memorial contributions in Donald's honor may be sent to: the Jackson Center Rescue Squad, Jackson Center, Ohio 45334. Arkansas obituary Donald E. Donald is survived by five children: Gerald (Penny) of Mount Vernon, Gene (Becky) of Cedar Rapids, Gayle (John) Everitt of Milton, Florida, Gladys (Richard) Wyche of Jay, Florida, Glenn (Mary) of Cape Coral, Florida; and one sister Lois (Don) Mann of Jackson Center, Ohio. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law Donald "Mac" McGowan of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Preceded in death by his wife Doris McGowan Gerber.
