Dennis Edward Franks, 48, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away, on September 18, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Services will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family. Dennis Franks was born November 26, 1974, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The son of Ralph and Mable (Zahn) Franks.Dennis worked for Goodwill. Dennis is survived by his siblings, Ellen (Dennis) Gilchrist, John Franks, Dave (Kristina) Franks, and James Franks. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Albert Franks.

  3. Dennis you were a very caring individual. I got to know you and your brothers through our family reunions . No matter where you were at I would take time out n talk with you and your brothers, in person or on the phone. Going miss talking with you on whatever game you played,or family member talked about to catch up on or just too talk. Your laugh was unique, ones who knew you.knew you had a caring heart You was a great cousin Will miss you, your at peace now no more suffering from medical issues. Until we all see you again.   4. I went to school with Dennis at Garfeild. He was my protector. I saw him as a brother. He was the kindness man. I just not found out he had pass. The last time I saw him was at Goodwill. After so many years we recognize each other. He had told me mom passed. Talked about the old time in school. God bless you Dennis. Over the years I did think about u and the gang the tree we all hung out. I will always hd you in my thoughts, prayers and my heart foreve. We will meet again. Always Tammy Wright is my maiden name
