THE DATE IS TENTATIVE FOR DARIN'S SERVICE. PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK FOR UPDATES. Darin Mark Henik, 49, passed away in Mesa, Arizona, of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on May 7, 2009. The family did not learn of his death until last week. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Darin was born on February 15, 1960, in Dubuque. The son of Donald and Virginia Elaine Rieger Henik, he was raised in and attended school in Lisbon. He is survived by his sister Darcy Henik, niece Alexa Ralls, two great-nephews: Zane and Xander Ralls, all of Lisbon, and a daughter Ayla. Darin was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Luanne Nemecek Henik, maternal grandparents Willard and Mae LaGuire Rieger, and paternal grandparents George and Julia Slach Henik. Darin was deeply loved and will be forever in our hearts.

I was very sorry to hear of Darin’s passing.I am the mother of his only daughter Ayla whom he hadnt seen since she was 6.She is now 23 years old and asks that this message be forwarded to his family so that she may make contact and perhaps share in any memories they may have of him.She would dearly love a photo if anyone has one.Again my sympathies in your loss.
