Danny "Dan" Marks

Danny “Dan” Lee Marks, 73, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at his home on hospice care. Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2026, Stonebridge Church, Cedar Rapids. Military Honors will follow the service. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dan was born on September 1, 1952, in Garden Grove, Iowa, the son of Robert and Frances (Harger) Marks. He served honorably in the United States Navy from 1977-1982, as a systems programmer. After his time in the service, he graduated with his master’s degree from San Diego State University, San Diego, California. In 2000 he received his Microsoft Certification from Hamilton College, Cedar Rapids. Dan owned and operated Logo Systems in Cedar Rapids. He finally retired in 2015.

Dan enjoyed spending time with family, Iowa Hawkeye Football, traveling, going bowling, board games, and being involved with his life group at Stonebridge Church.Dan is survived by his significant other of 28 years, Sara L. Kendall; many cousins; and his furry friend, Rustie.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and paternal and maternal grandparents.
