Brant Simpson

Brant Simpson, 73, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on October 9, 2026, at Heritage Specialty Care, Cedar Rapids. Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. The family is being cared for by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.

Brant was born September 16, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son to Carroll and Nancy (Fabor) Simpson. He graduated from Jefferson High School and enlisted in the United States Marines until his honorable discharge. He was united in marriage to Antoinette “Toni” Simpson in Cedar Rapids.

Brant was a simple man with a sarcastic sense of humor who loved telling jokes. He was a people person who never met a stranger and enjoyed striking up conversations with others. He loved tinkering and working on cars, watching car shows, and taking things apart, even if they didn’t always make it back together.

Brant is survived by his wife, Toni; children, Traci (Matthew) Essary, Greg (D’Lynn) Stone, Michael Bailey, and Justin Simpson; mother, Nancy Simpson; brother, Dan Simpson; sister, Tehri Goldsmith; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Simpson; sister, Jordan White; and son, Lynn Simpson.
