Betty DiDomenico

Betty C. DiDomenico, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 96, at UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Hospital on the hospice floor.
Betty was born May 6, 1930, in Hoboken, New Jersey, the beloved daughter of Anthony and Charlotte (Thompson) DiDomenico. She grew up in Union City, New Jersey, where she worked for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company for 38 years, retiring in 1990.
Betty later relocated to Somerset, New Jersey, where she lived until 2024, when she relocated to Cedar Rapids to be nearer to family. At the time of her death, Betty resided at Corridor Crossing Place in Cedar Rapids.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her older sister, Teresa. Betty is survived by her nephew, Anthony (Lynda) Bivona of Kaukauna, Wisconsin; and niece, Donna (Dann) Myers of Cedar Rapids.
Per her request, there will be no memorial services. The family is being cared for by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at Unity Point for their tenderness and compassion when caring for Betty.
