Georgene Mills, 73, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on June 3, 2026, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 25, 2026, at FaithLife Church, 8300 C Avenue NE, Marion, Iowa, followed by hors d’oeuvres and time for fellowship at the church. The family is being cared for by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.

Georgene was born on September 22, 1952, in Spokane, Washington, daughter to George “Bud” and Joyce (Lehfeldt) Mills. Her main joys in life were family, serving others and travel and she combined those joys whenever possible. Georgene visited 34 countries on six continents. She traveled with medical teams on mission trips to Guatemala and Kenya. She also enjoyed being outdoors, hiking the San Juan mountains, and growing and nurturing her plants and flowers.
Georgene is survived by her mother, Joyce Mills; children, Brent (Katie) Mohasci and Blake Mohasci; grandchildren, Ryan Mohasci and Lauren Mohasci; bonus grandchildren, Gavin Zachman and Raegan Zachman; brother, Bruce Mills; and sister, Jeanene Smart.
She was preceded in death by her father, George “Bud” Mills; and special friend, Jim Polston.
