William Issac Rich, 22, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial immediately following at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Those unable to attend are invited to watch the service via livestream. Please find the livestream link on William's Tribute Wall and share your support and memories with his family. William is survived by his parents, Sandra Rich of Arizona and Ronald Rich of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Vincent, Jasmine, Aaron, LaRhonda, Darius, Latayrn, Temira, Raven, Taylor, and Angelique; grandparents, Thomas and Debra Conley, Cassandra Banks, and Harold Rich; nieces, Olivia, Venus, Ay'lah, Amena'h, Echo and J'nylah; nephew, Jacob Jr.; and many cousins. William was born on February 8, 2000, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Sandra (Conley) and Ronald Rich. After graduating from high school through Iowa Central Community College, he also obtained his welding certification. He loved his job welding for RELCO Locomotives, but really enjoyed the adrenaline of helping in crisis situations as a tow truck operator for Iowa Central Towing in Ames, Iowa. He will be remembered for his smile, his laugh, his encouragement, strength, compassion, and goofy personality. William was always naturally mechanically inclined and could fix anything. He had an adventurous streak and loved having fun with his family, making memories whenever possible. William had dreams of obtaining his CDL and having a family of his own. His beautiful spirit is already missed, but he is at peace in the heavens with God.

    A: Williams smile was priceless, an he had a big heart to go with, you will be missed more than you know. All my love an prayers.

  5. William Rich was a wonderful man and I was very glad to get to be his niece while I could. He cared for me and thought of me and my feelings even when I was mean and disrespectful he was kind and loving I know my words cant change the fact he cant come back but at least us remembering him will show everyone he loved his family and im very glad to have been part of it before his life ended it should not have he deserved better he was a very hard working man and cared for his family.
