Trent Jacobs

Trent Jacobs, 64, of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids is caring for the family.

Trent Eugene was born July 21, 1961, in Morrison, Illinois to Ronald and Mary Catherine (McGrogan) Jacobs. Five wonderful children filled his life. He has spent many years employed at, and has retired from, Rockwell-Collins but was happiest when camping, fishing, and playing his guitar. Trent also loved old cars, and watching the Bears.

Trent is survived by his children, Jesse (Kelly), Joseph, Mara (Orlando Straw), and Emily Jacobs; grandchildren, Brady, Reid, Baylor, Tucker, Bryar, Jonas, Malakhi, and Mariah; sister, Deb (Jack) Eversoll; and man’s best friend Eddie. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachael; and mom, Mary Catherine.
