Tom Sylvester

Tom Sylvester, 69, of Cedar Rapids, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Please join us for a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at First Church of the Nazarene, Cedar Rapids. Visitation is at 10 a.m. Survivors include his children, Todd Sylvester, Cara (Nick) Streff, Jennifer and Jessica Sylvester; five grandchildren, Mara, Anna, Colin, Tanaya and Cayden; and his girlfriend of over six years, Lorriane Trey. Also surviving are his brothers, Don, Larry and Charlie; a sister, Sharon; and many nieces and nieces. He will be reunited in heaven with his parents; his sisters, Juanita and Marie; and his nephew, Dennis.
