Theresia Benefield

Theresia M. Benefield, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Living Center East. A private family service will be held. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, David (Denise) Bailey, Brian Hamilton, William (Tina) Benefield, and John (Kathy) Benefield; 13 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Theresia was born June 7, 1934, in Munich, Germany and came to the United States when she was 16 years old. Theresia worked at Wilson's/Farmstead Foods for over 30 years and she enjoyed knitting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tom Galli; and sister, Minnie Stickler.

Bill: Just saw this notice and wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. Your mom sounds like an interesting lady, coming from Germany as a teenager. Hoping all went/goes at her services and know that I’m thinking about you. Lost my mother recently as well. Never easy for those left behind. Connie Baller
