lil man
one day mom told scott not to think she was crazy, but every time they went to tama there was a lil man dressed like a cop that followed them right outside the car. scott said WHAT. she said yea. he has a cop hat, a belt, clothes on and every time we go he is there. it was a reflection from the dash lights.
snow storm
years ago when tama first opened. it was the only casino. there was a snow storm forecasted, but mom and sandy had to go to tama anyway. the snow storm came. it was a blizzard. they got half way home and sandy couldnt see to drve no more. besides it was really slippery. they pulled over and this was before cell phones, so they just sat there. after an hour or so a snow plow or a county worker came and called dad and sandys husband. they had to go out in the blizzard to get them.
blizzard
back when tama was the only casino, there was a blizzard forecast, but mom and sandy went to tama anyway. they got half way home and the weather was so bad they had to pull over. this was before cell phones. so all they could do was sit there. after an hour or so a snowplow or i guess a county truck cause i think even the snowplows werent out. any way he called dad and sandys husband and they had to go out in the blizzard to get them.
Man
when i(cindy) was a kid we had a dog named Man. back in those days papa drank. mom was in bed. papa came home from the bar and Man got out and ran. mom was out in the street with her nightgown and housecoat on yelling “Man Man Man”. papa said “thelma, get in here. out there in your night clothes hollering for a man.”
My heart goes out to all of Thelma’s family. She was such an awesome person and will be greatly missed. Love you all.
