Terese Ann Benson, 67, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services of Cedar Rapids is caring for Terese's family.Terese is survived by children, Joe (Stefanie) Bergsmith of Harrisburg, South Dakota, Kasie (Ethan) Benson of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Kira (Will), Ella, Wyatt, Ashton; three sisters, Lauri (Eric) Oehlerking of Wichita Falls, Texas, Debbie Smith of Cedar Rapids, Cathy (Alan) Clark of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, James Bergsmith of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two nieces, Liz Clark of Omaha, Nebraska and Marie (Cord) Read of Fort Worth, Texas; relatives, and friends.Terese Ann was born July 1, 1955, the daughter of Everett and Dorothy Sedlacek Bergsmith, in Sioux City, Iowa. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Sioux City North High School in 1973. Terese lived and worked in Sioux City. She was blessed with two children, Joseph and Kasie.She was employed her entire working life with Snap-On, in Customer Service. In 2001, she moved to North Carolina for Snap-On. Upon her retirement from Snap-On, Terese moved to Cedar Rapids in 2018, to be close to her daughter. Terese loved to read, but, spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her the most joy and happiness in life.She is preceded in death by her parents.A Memorial Fund has been established in Terese's name and may be directed to the family.
