Tawny J. Tomberlin

January 27, 1966 ~ January 22, 2010

Tawny Jo "Bones" Tomberlin, 43 of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, January 22, 2010 in her home from gunshot wounds. A gathering will be at a later date when Dewey is discharged from the hospital and well enough to attend. Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel, is helping the family. Surviving Tawny is her sons Matthew and Michael, and daughters Sabrina and Cassie, Cedar Rapids, her siblings Duane (Debbie) "Dewey", Cedar Rapids and Lisa Tomberlin, step siblings, Ricky (Priscilla) Smith and Candace Ribble, all of Cedar Rapids, one grandchild, 8 nieces and nephews, 3 great nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding Tawny in death were her parents Duane Tomberlin and Mary Myers Smith . Bones was born January 27, 1966 in Hudson, Wisconsin. She lived in Cedar Rapids most of her life. Tawny worked at Mr. G's Grocery Store, in Marengo, and worked as a sandblaster in her spare time. Tawny loved to spend time with her family. Memorials in Tawny's honor will be used as a college fund for her children. They may be sent in care of Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, 715 10th Ave SW, Mount Vernon, Iowa 52314.
