Steven Lawrence Myers, 50, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, March 3, 2011. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering beginning at noon on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Bertram Hall in Bertram. Arrangements with Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Surviving Steve is his father Bob Myers, Mount Vernon; mother Delores Myers, Oklahoma; his wife Shelley Myers; three children: Hailey, Steven, and Sarah, a brother Robert all of Cedar Rapids; two half-sisters: Theresa and Debbie, Thorton, Iowa. Steve was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 308 of Cedar Rapids. A memorial fund in Steve's honor has been established: Steven L. Steve was a large part of our family for many, many years. He was a great friend and was always there to help when we needed. He is a friend we have lost too early. Shelley,To start you are my bestest friend and I love you and those kids with all my heart and soul and we just have to remember all the fun times we had when Steve,you and me and dewy and the kids did all the family fun and all the laughs we had he was a great man and will be greatly missed by all of us and when In need he was there for us not long ago,we love and miss you Steve R.I.P. my friend.And always remember if you need anything we will be there love you all.

It took me a long time to think of what I wanted to say. First, I will miss my friend and I’m so thankful I got back in touch with him even if it was just for one short year. Steve was a lover of life and a liver of life,if he was your friend there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help you in time of need.Shelley you gave him such a wonderful life and 3 beautiful children.
