Steven Lawrence Myers, 50, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, March 3, 2011. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering beginning at noon on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Bertram Hall in Bertram. Arrangements with Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Surviving Steve is his father Bob Myers, Mount Vernon; mother Delores Myers, Oklahoma; his wife Shelley Myers; three children: Hailey, Steven, and Sarah, a brother Robert all of Cedar Rapids; two half-sisters: Theresa and Debbie, Thorton, Iowa. Steve was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 308 of Cedar Rapids. A memorial fund in Steve's honor has been established: Steven L. Steve was a large part of our family for many, many years. He was a great friend and was always there to help when we needed. He is a friend we have lost too early. It took me a long time to think of what I wanted to say. First, I will miss my friend and I’m so thankful I got back in touch with him even if it was just for one short year.
