  3. We’re very sorry to learn of Stella Mae’s passing, having known and admired her for 60 years since our student days at Cornell College. Robin boarded at her house during 1962-64, doing yard work and acting as a “big brother” to her sons. When we married, shortly after graduation, she made the effort to bring Dough and Mike to our wedding in Peoria, Illinois. We’ve kept in touch with over the years since then, and will miss her very much.

  4. Stella Mae was a cousin of my mother, Frances Olson, and she and Betty and my mother were good friends and playmates as children. My mother was Betty’s age but passed away in 1983. I enjoyed visiting with Stella Mae at our Steffenson family lunches at Collins Plaza. She was a wonderful lady! — Sandra Melhus VanAmburg

  7. Aunt Stella Mae was a little woman with the strength of a giant. I know that the strength and peace to raise 2 boys after Uncle Chuck’s passing was her deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and guidance, and direction from God’s precious promises to those who trust Him as their Lord & Savior. May the God of all comfort, comfort her loved ones, at this time.
May these words speak to your hearts:
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 “Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest who are without hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

  8. We were so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. Our hearts and prayers are with you. We know you have the comfort that Stella is now with our Lord. May Gods love bring you comfort. I know Mary and Richard really enjoyed having meals with her at the view. When we took our newest Grandson there she saw him and just lit up, it was so sweet. We’re thinking of you and hope your memories will be a treasure always. With our Sympathy, Dan and Deb Hoffman
