Sharon Crouse, 51, of Cedar Rapids, died April 3, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Memorial Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include her mother, Betty Crouse of Texas; twin sister, Karen (Scott Kelsey) Pierce; brother, Randy (Rhonda) Crouse; daughter, Brooke Hall; son, Steve Hall; nieces, Rachelle Salem, Tasha (Doug) Pierce, and Tonia (Damien) Pierce; nephew, Calvin Pierce Jr.; great nieces and nephews, Kayles Walton, Hannah Sanders, Dalton Sanders, Austin Salem, and one great niece due in May; and special friends, Calvin Pierce, Sr. and Kevin Sackett. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

  1. So very sorry for your loss of Sharon. I knew her thru Charlie Bentrim who grew up & went to school with Sharon & Karen. Charlie is sorry that he can not attend the funeral services. He is in the University Hospital himself, from a car accident. All of thoughs and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

I will especially miss the way she could bring on her special smile and laughter no mater how bad the situation was. Sharon lived her life one day at a time and made the best out of it.   9. My prayers go out to the family of Sharon. Karen and Sharon babysat my sons Branden and Travis for me with my cousin Mary Lou. She is in good hands now. May you find some comfort knowing she had many friends that loved her.

  10. Sharon you had a short life but definitely didn’t have a dull moment! Although you left us early you will be missed by all of your family. I have many memories of you especially when I was very young. I remember you hugging me and telling me how much you loved your family and that there were so many things you wished you could change but were having a tough time getting the strength. We all understand and know God and your Father will take care of you now…we love you!
