  3. Hi Dr. Flynn, Sorry to read about Sharlene. My prayers are with you and your family. That God with grant you peace to you and your family. My prayers are that Sharlene with be bless with eternal life in Heaven. Amen. Too Dr. Flynn I have been thinking about you from June 7th when you seen me at the free clinic. That I said I wish you didn’t have to have your heart surgery on my birthday. That I was meaning that God would of just put his hand on your heart and heal your heart. I was trying to make you smile Dr. Flynn. You have been always very special to me all of these years. From seeing me when I was a teenager in Junior high to adult hood and the day you retired was very hard for me to see you go. To then hearing you were at the free clinic to help me again was a blessing from God Amen. To see you to try to find out why my hearing was bad still. That all of the ENTS I have seen still asn’t said why my hearing is still so bad. That my hearing aid doesn’t work right either? Hope I can see you to find out why this is still happening. Cause when someone say something to me the words are very hard to understand. So hope you will be able to go and be at the free clinic and the free clinic can call me to let me know that you can see me to clear this up about why I’m having ear problems hearing still. Like I said my prayers are with you Dr. Flynn and your family. No ENT will replace you never!!!! You are the best and I will always remember you and your nurse Shirley and other staff members that worked with you. Thanks also for helping at the free clinic to help others in need. Sincerely Peggy Walker DeMeulenaere

  4. We remember Sharlene as a free spirit who had a zest for life, loved her family intensely, & never complained about the many serious health issues in her later life. She was so brave, more than most of us, as were Jim & their 3 sons. She was blessed to remain in their home with loving care from Jim & their sons, especially Mike (Kel). They also were courageous in taking care of Sharlene these last several years. Our hearts, thoughts, & prayers are with you, Jim; your sons, James (Kyle), Mike (Kel), & Sean (Andrea); your grandchildren & their children; & Sharlene’s surviving siblings, nieces & nephews. We are confident that your grandchildren will share their memories of Sharlene with your great grandchildren as they grow up. The passing of a loved one is so very, very difficult, & sometimes causes unimaginable grief. However, we hope all family members find comfort in their faith & in knowing that Sharlene is now with God who has resolved the pain & suffering she went through for so many years. God is there for all of us always & even more so in times of sorrow. Much love, Bill & Linda Flynn & our grandchildren, Dylan, Quinn, Ethan, & Alyson

  5. I worked for the Flynns in Jacksonville, FL from the late 80s into the 90s, at Cucos Restaurant/Border Cafe. I met Dr. and Mrs. Flynn a handful of times, including an interview for a manager position. They were lovely to me. Mrs. Flynn shared that she was a nurse and an artist—and my mom was as well, so we chatted about that. I knew their sons better through the restaurants. My time working for Cucos was hugely impactful for my development as an adult and an introvert, and I always felt supported. Years later, when I had moved on and finally finished my bachelors degree, Dr. and Mrs. Flynn sent me a monogrammed padfolio that I still use to this day, some 20 years later. I’m late in adding this guestbook entry—every few years I look up some of the names that have played an important part of my life in some way. So I offer my condolences after-the-fact, to Dr. Flynn and Jim, Kelly, and Sean.
