Sara Steil, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died December 3, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Church of the King, Cedar Rapids. She is survived by her husband, Roger; sons, Bob Weis, Jim Weis, Roger Steil Jr., and Clayton Steil; daughters, Aggie Williams, Kathy Schumacher, Martha Kousheh, and Sue Herbst; brother, Leslie Sprague, 22 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Sara was born January 18, 1935, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Leslie and Agnes (Montine) Sprague. She married Roger Steil on September 10, 1969 in DeKalb, Illinois. Sara was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Weis; and sisters, Margaret, Francis, and Evelyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Church of the King, 3750 F Avenue, NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52405.

I met sara because of her grandson Sonny.He is one of our great students .she kept Sonny on the straight and narrow .She will be missed but take comfort in knowing she is in a better place .
