Beloved mother, Rosemary Winsor Dye passed away peacefully in Mount Vernon, Iowa on November 25, 2013. She was born March 14, 1921 to Harold and Laura Winsor in Mauston, Wisconsin, the second of seven children. A memorial service will be held at Morgan Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Iowa on Sunday, December 22 at 2pm. Rosemary graduated from Davenport High School in 1938 and then attended Cornell College in Mount Vernon. She married James E. Dye in 1941 and was mother to seven children. She is survived by six children Susan Hodin Arvada, Co (John deceased), Edward Dye Arcadia, Nova Scotia (Maribeth), Sara Trout Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Larry), Andrea Vaughn Spokane WA. (Danny), Daniel Dye Mount Vernon, IA (Diana), James Jr. Mount Vernon, IA (Julie). She also enjoyed her thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James and her daughter Laurie. Rosemary was very talented and this showed up in her quilting, artwork, music and the clothes she made for her children, who she loved dearly. She is loved, and will be missed by her family and friends from over the years. Everyone who knew Rosemary will miss her humor and very quick wit. Memorials can be sent to Hallmark Care Center of Mount Vernon, Iowa.
