R.I.P. Rob. You will be missed.

  2. Rob will be greatly missed. His personality and character will never be forgotten. We’ve lost one of the best. From his friends on Iowa Auto Forums

  3. My deepest condolences go out to your family. Rob was an outstanding person who will be missed greatly.

    RIP Rob.

  4. Rob,
I can’t stop thinking about all the great times we’ve had in the past. From Days at the drag strip, battling it out every weekend with the cobra and talon, to simply going out to lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I remember when you broke your ankle and you would have me come over and take you out in your car so you could get your nitrous rush while you still couldn’t push in the clutch. I remember all the nights we were out tearing up the town until the sun came up. You were a great friend that grew into an older bro! We have lost a great friend but you will forever be in our hearts. Don’t worry pall, we know you will be banging gears threw the gates of heaven, but that will not be your last ride. Your family and friends will take care of everything you love and together I promise you we will get that Camaro in the 8’s!
RIP Buddy and Go Get UM!! Just don’t forget to shut of the spray when you’re done!!!

  5. I thought of you with love today,
    but that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday and the days before them too,
I think of you in silence,
    I often speak your name,
now all I have is memories,
and your picture in a frame,
    your memory is my treasure,
    with which I’ll never part,
I know your up there in heaven,
but you’re down here in my heart.
    Rest in Peace Rob

  6. We are thinking of you and your family. We know that Rob will continue to look down on all of you.

  7. Each morning when we awake
we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on.

Our hearts still ache with sadness
    and many tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
    No one will ever know.

Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.

There will always be a heartache,
    and often a silent tear,
    But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.

If tears could make a staircase,
    And heartaches make a lane,
We’d walk the path to heaven
    And bring you home again.

We hold you close within our hearts,
    And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
    Until we meet again.

  8. i am sorry to hear about rob’s death.
we worked together at the rolling mill, i enjoyed his company

  9. Anita,

I always enjoyed your visits with Rob to my home. I don’t get many visitors down this way so it always meant a lot. I thought Rob was very friendly & nice when I got to be around him & enjoyed you both when you were in my home. It was good of him to let you stop by & see your niece & great nieces & nephews. These are the things I will remember of him. I hope your heart can feel happy soon with all the good memories of Rob. I’m so sorry you lost him….keep God close & come see me anytime. My family will not be able to make it to the memorial & I’m sorry for that. We have some things happening in my family that I’d know you’d understand. After things have settled & if you ever feel lonely give me a call & I’ll tell you all about it. In the mean time take care & if you do need anything that I can help you with just let me know.

    Love ya,

    Kim

  13. Rob, it was great getting to know you this last season, you were a great guy to be around! My deepest condolences to the family. We’ll have our ’11 vs TA rematch before you know it!

  14. Rob,
May your soul be at peace and the love that you felt remain. For I plan to see you again someday. I’m happy that you were part of all of our lives and very thankful for the way you loved and cared for my sister Anita. You gave Anita some of the best years of her life and for that I will forever hold your memory near and dear to my heart.

  15. Rob,after reading over the wonderful tributes in this guestbook as well as talking with Anita & the kids last night, I realize now that I missed out on really getting to know a very special guy! We talked many times on fb about all kinds of things & you always invited me to come spend time with Anita & you, yet I never really got to know you!
But I do know this from our conversations and from talking to Anita many times that you really are the love of her life, just as she is the love of your life…you were as one! I know that you took good care of each other & loved each other deeply.
She will feel your loss forever, as you were her world for so long. You made her the happiest that I’ve ever known to be!
You were also a wonderful Step-Dad & ‘Papa’ to your all your grandchildren!
May you rest in peace now, Rob, knowing that you were loved so much!

  16. Anita, I am extreamly sorry for your loss, Rob was a outstanding guy, and a very good freind to me and George and Allison, we all had some great times, he will be greatly missed by everyone.

  17. Thankyou for loving my kids and i so completely, even when i resisted. sometimes it easier to talk about ones faults rather then what was great about somebody. I know that you loved us all and you truely loved my mother, i wish that i would have taken the time to say thankyou and that i love you more often. Your passion for mustangs will forever live on in Nolan! You passed that on to him at a young age, he is able to point out mustangs to me that i wouldnt have known. you gave that to him! Hannah loved you very much too and is very sad that you are gone. Jaice keeps saying that he hopes that you are happy with the angels! Rest easy now! You will never be forgotten.

  18. Anita, and Rob’s family,
We are sorry for your unexpected loss and hope you are all comforted by good memories with him. RIP, Rob-
