Robert John Houlahan, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. No services will be held. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Robert Houlahan was born on April 22, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edmund and Frances (Reilly) Houlahan. He was united in marriage to Judy Zrudsky at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Robert served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a proud International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1362 member. Robert was an Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed bowling and watching local bands, JC Project, Vice Box, and Well Lit.
Robert is survived by his wife, son, Sean (Katherine) Houlahan; and sister, Rose Marie Hammill.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Bonnie Schmelzer.

So sorry for your loss of Bob… As a band mate of Sean’s, Bob was always our biggest cheerleader.. He never missed a show with his video camera running. He was at almost every practice and was so proud of us.. Especially Sean.
