On March 2, 1974, he married Ieta Brown in Waverly, Iowa. Rick started driving truck in high school and continued for over 40 years until his health forced him to retire in September of 2013. He and Ieta drove together for many years, and his daughters and grandchildren joined him on many trips as well. Rick enjoyed working on his cars and trucks in his spare time. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Rick will be remembered for his generous and kind heart, always putting others first. He will, without doubt, be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Donald and Ronny. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
