Richard Bruce Dean, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022. No public services are planned at this time. Survivors include his son, Paul (Dorota Miller); grandson, Eli; step-daughter, Candace Collins; and extended family and friends. Richard was born on September 29, 1944, in Leroy, Minnesota to Jewel and Dorothy Dean. He married Sally before moving to Cedar Rapids, they later divorced. Rich spent his later years with his better half, Margaret. He received training at Radio School, becoming an announcer, before joining the team at the Gazette's Iowa Farmer Today where he spent 22 years. Rich enjoyed reading the Gazette, Wheel of Fortune, music, books, and eating out. His fondest time was spent in telling stories, especially to his grandchildren. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, and Margaret.
