Richard 'Dick' Bagley, 90, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and burial will follow.
Dick was born September 9, 1933, in Brandon, Iowa, son to Leland and Esther (Short) Bagley. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1950 and was drafted into the United States Army in 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1955. He married Beatrice 'Betty' Pope on October 6, 1956. Dick worked as a Designer at FMC Corp.
Dick was a great mechanic who could fix everything. He enjoyed working on cars, reading, gardening, and home improvements. He also loved to travel and completed many trips across the Atlantic.
Dick is survived by his wife, Betty Bagley; children, Paul (Tami) Bagley and Diane (Phillip West) Bagley Wilson West; grandchildren, Michelle (Christopher) Wiberg, Daniel (Andrea) Bagley, and Haley Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Adalynn Bagley, Jack Bagley, and William Wiberg
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Lyle Bagley, Lavern Bagley, and Rosalene Bisland.
