Raymond Keith Hard Jr., 44, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 26, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Raymond was born on October 31, 1980, in New York, the son of James Gauthier and Penny (Hard) Scott. He was united in marriage to Heidi Montgomery on June 18, 2004, in New Sharon, Iowa. Raymond got his certification from DMACC to become a bituminous material handler. He was also involved with multiple Tattoo artists. Ray really wanted to work but couldn't due to his health reasons. Raymond is survived by the Love of his life, Heidi Hard, children, Anthony Hard, Brenna Craig, and Mariah (Dillon) Clark; his parents Penny (Hard) and Ernest Scott; siblings, Kevin (Amber) Gauthier, Nick Scott, and Keith Scott; three step-brothers, Brad, David, and Brian; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Ray (Michell) Lutenske, and Tre Tanner; and his Ireland friends that have become family. Raymond was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents and his father.
