Ray Stamper, 76, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Pinicon Place, Anamosa. Graveside Service: 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon.
Survivors include his children, Becky (David) McCullough, Donna Feddersen, Sileena (George) Hendley, Carolyn Hayes, Mark (Terry) Stamper, Rusty Stamper, Rose (Paul) Baker, and Loretta Stamper; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Ray was born March 1, 1939, in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of Otho and Leona Stamper. He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Ray was a loved and respected, quiet guy. Ray and his wife, Jean enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother.
