Guestbook

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. I worked with Paul for several years and appreciated that he always brought his quirky humor to the team. 🙂 My thoughts are with his family, especially his girls.

  2. Your family is in our prayers. We have known Paul and his family since we moved to Marion in 1993. Our hearts go out to his dear daughters…Ann and Pat Loftus

  3. To all of Paul’s family I wish to convey my condolences. Paul and I were very good friends who unfortunately grew apart over the years as our lives evolved past high school, college and our early years of starting families. Paul and I did not stay in touch as well as we should have and I regret that now that he is not with us. I will always have the great memories of our camping and fishing trips together and will never forget Paul.

  4. To all of Paul’s family members~~~ I have a couple of ways I am connected to Paul… My family was brought to Iowa City from Moline, IL when Harry brought my Dad to work @ the printing company in Coralville (EPI or ECI?). Our families got to know each other then & kept in contact through the many years my Dad (Merle “Butch” Murrah, who passed away July 2010) worked there & even after he left the company…we often even visited Paul’s grandfather, Bob (or “old Bob” as he was fondly known & loved by our family), even as my sisters & I were adults we continued to pop-in to check up on him w/ our mom when he was living outside of C.R. (We still speak very fondly of him & miss him! He was a wonderful, loving, vibrant, special, 1 of a kind man!)… But it wasn’t until the mid 90’s that I got to know Paul. I had been working @ United Technologies Automotive for over 10 yrs. when Paul started. He worked right beside me, he was a great workers, & pretty quiet at first. But over 3 or 4 months of working beside each other we got to know each other…but I hadn’t known his last name…One day sitting outside in the smoking area a group of us were talking during our lunch break, & I was talking about how we used to live in Moline, IL but my Dad was offered a job in Coralville @ a certain printing company, & how after our house was completed & ready for Mom & us kids to come then we were moved. I was talking about visiting my Dad from time to time @ the printing co., & so on. Well then Paul said that his father use to own a printing co. & when I asked him which one it was & he said “Ehmsen” I about fell off the picnic table!!! I couln’t believe we were talking about the same company! Evidently my parents had run into him as well as Harry & Patti here & there at times when I hadn’t been w/ them, & had known this, but had forgotten to tell me. I couldn’t believe the connection of our families, & that I worked beside him for such a long time before finding out Pauls last name & then finding our connection! I really enjoyed the time I spent working w/ Paul! Unfortunatly I developed a non-curable painful nerve disease & had/have become legally disabled & had to quit work @ UTA (now it is Lear automotive I believe). But up until then I continued to work beside Paul, our bond growing stronger every day~~~especially w/ the family history & connection! We would ALWAYS be laughing about how long it took to find out each others last name & all that! He was such a good worker, so kind, helpful, considerate, funny, caring, thoughtful~~~I could go on forever! I ended up later marrying our boss Jay Argotsinger, (I was either just leaving my first husband or recently divorced when I met Paul.) And he always thought the world of Paul too! As I, he has nothing but wonderful things to say about him both as his employee & as a person! Even though we moved to Huntington, IN & are now in Columbia, MO due to my husband taking offers from other manufacturing companies~~~we still have conversations where Paul’s name is brought up & we would remenice about “old times”…we always have thought fondly of Paul & continue to do that in rememberance…We have nothing but positive things to say about our time with him. We want to extend our sympathy & condolence to his family, especially his children. We will keep you all in our thoughts & in our prayers & just want to say that we feel very honored to have met Paul & to of had the time that we had w/ him! It was our honor! We have always regretted losing touch w/ him, & consider him a true friend who we deeply cared for, thought very highly of, & hope that he is at peace & quietly watching over his girls, family,& loved ones from quiet stream “above” w/ a fishing pole in his hand! With our deepest sympathy, you are in are thoughts during this difficult time! Sincerely, Jay & Kimmy (Murrah) Argotsinger 210 W. Texas Ave. Columbia, MO 65202 argotsingerkimmy@yahoo.com
