Patty Hotz

Patty Rae (Rowell) Hotz, passed away August 29, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Celebrant Dawn Stephens. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Patty is survived by her, children, Becky (Marvin) Dittmar, Robert Jr. (Marge), Lola Kukuk, Debi (Antonio) Vega, Peggy Hotz (Joe), Wendy (Craig) McNabb, Jennifer Hotz (Jeremy); 21 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, and brother, Richard 'Dick' Rowell. Patty was born May 14, 1934, the daughter of Ray and Lola Rowell. Patty was a cook for many years in the Cedar Rapids and Marion area and also a pre-school teacher until her retirement in 2009. Patty's greatest delight was her children and grandchildren, who will miss her deeply, and her love for her cats. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lola Rowell; brothers, Thomas and Robert Rowell; great grandchildren, Austin Ruzicka, Alexis Tamayo and Billi Jo Cummins; and another special great grandchild.
