Patricia Ann Goodman, 72, of Mechanicsville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Jones Regional Hospital, Anamosa of cancer. Services 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Morgan Funeral Choices Mount Vernon. Burial at a later date. Surviving Patricia are a daughter, Lavonne (Jeff) Christianson, Mechanicsville; two grandchildren Jacob (Amber) Christianson, Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Angela Christianson, Ames; two sisters Marcia (Jim) Kupka, Clutier and Cheryl Allison, Albia; a brother Richard (Janice) Allison, Moravia; and a four legged friend, "Little Bit." Preceding Patricia in death were her parents, and her husband Floyd Goodman. Patricia was born March 17, 1940 in Iowa City, the daughter of Donald and Helen Brown Allison. She graduated from Albia High School and had a two year degree from Kirkwood Community College. To Patty’s family: Sincere condolences to you upon Patty’s death. Patty and I were high school classmates.
A friend called and told me about Patty’s passing. I am so sorry you had to go through this once again. You are too young a family to have lost all the parents/grandparents. As you well know your mother came from a different family. I know that she loved all of you more then life it self. She was so proud of all of you.
So sorry to hear about Patty passing away. We were classmates in high school. Our throughts are with all the family.
I remember Patty as the girl who smiled all the time. She was a year ahead of me in school. Donna Clark (took my maiden name back when boys went off to college).
