Patricia Catherine Milder was born March 3, 1941, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Ralph and Mary Bertha (Enderle) Milder. She graduated from Olin High School in 1959. Pat enjoyed cooking, baking, and catering food to many people. She was a hard worker, and dedicated many long hours to any job assigned to her. She worked for the Reformatory in Anamosa, and even owned her own Caf in Monticello for a few years. Pat would wake up very early, bake pies and cinnamon rolls, and open up the Caf'sometimes with Kent and Renee's help'for her patrons. Most recently, she worked for Holiday Inn, managing new hotels or those that needed some consulting. Pat loved all dogs and country western music, especially George Strait and Garth Brooks. Ever since earning her driver's license, she enjoyed taking long drives, but may have had a lead foot. Even after becoming blind, she still loved going for long car rides. Life wasn't always easy for Pat, but she learned to adapt to her situation and find the good in it.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Milder; and brothers-in-law, Everett Smith and Curt Evans.
My brothers and sister attended East Fork country school with Patsy and her siblings. My oldest
brother, Wally, and twin brother and sister Kenny and Karen. My name before marriage was Ruby
Cawiezell. Patsy(as she was called then) and I were the same age. Mary, Maxine, and Billy, might
better remember Kenny and Karen. I always wondered where all of you might have ended up.
My sincere condolences . Ruby Cawiezell Ivins ( ivinslarry@yahoo.com)
