Patricia 'Pat' Boyd, 85, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at home. Celebration of Life: 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, by Celebrant Dawn Stephens. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Private Inurnment will take place at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
The family requires masks be worn at the visitation and service. Friends and extended family unable to join in person may watch the Celebration of Life via webcast. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa 'Terrie' Unruh; grandchildren, TIffiney (Joe) Jensen, Heather Unruh (Jeremy Peterson), Sarah Wood, and Graham Wood; great grandchildren, Carter and Mason Jensen and Amiee Peterson; sisters, Judy Kenner, Bea Gordon, Merrie Hanzelka, JoAnn VanWeelden, and Ann Johnson; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Patricia Ann Kriva was born March 26, 1936, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Beatrice (Kralicek) Kriva. She grew up near Belle Plaine, graduated from Chelsea High School, and earned her degree from Mount Mercy College. She worked several jobs as a secretary and assistant before earning her Real Estate license in the Milwaukee area. She worked in Real Estate for more than 45 years. Pat worked for Colonial Realty, ReMax Executive Homes, and finally as a broker and owner for ReMax Realty 100 for over 35 years and was a long-time member of the Wisconsin Realtor's Association. Her dedication and ethics secured many families their homes, and she was known to help multiple generations of families find their home.
Pat was passionate about flowers including roses, perennials, and her plant babies, landscaping her large lot in Wisconsin'she belonged to the Elm Grove Garden Club, ballroom dancing, going to the theatre to watch musicals, and traveling'especially to Costa Rica and Europe. She was a social butterfly, and enjoyed playing Five Hundred and Pinochle with friends three times a week'her appointments had to be scheduled around social activities. She was an ambitious woman and will be missed by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph; son, Steve; significant other of 25 years, Libo Amann; son-in-law, Dennis R. Unruh; brothers-in-law, Kenny, Ed, and Jim; and two infant nieces.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to create a scholarship for upcoming Real Estate Brokers in Pat's name, or donate to a charity of your choice.
