Opal Miller

Opal M. Miller passed away at Mercy Hospital on September 12, 2022, surrounded by family. Opal was born in Grand Junction, Iowa on July 8th, 1937. She proudly worked for Rockwell-Collins for almost 27 years, starting out on the line and working her way up to being an inspector for quality control before retiring. She was also an organ donor for research. She loved sewing outfits for her kids and grandkids, tending to her flowers, and baking for family and neighbors. Opal is survived by daughters, Barb (Bill) Satkamp, Debb Miller, Pamm (Rob) Azbill; son, David (Lisa) Miller; daughter-in-law, Deb Miller; sisters, Betty Bramow and Jean Korff; sisters-in-law, Sandy, Linda, and Nancy Langfitt; grandchildren, David Hinton, Brittani Joyner, and Hunter Joyner; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orland and Naomi Langfitt; son, James L. Miller, Jr.; brothers, Floyd (Sonny), Don, Bob, and Earl Langfitt; sister, Alma Bethune; and great-granddaughter, Paityn Li Joyner. Per Opal's request, there will be no service.
