Norma L. Morarie

Norma L. Covington Morarie, 80 of Marion, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from pneumonia. Norma's viewing will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011, at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00 p.m., by Celebrant Mary Morgan. Surviving Norma are three sons: Dana (Susan) Rauch, Toddville, Brian (Allison) Rauch, Texas, and Dodge (Donna) Casteel, Marion, two daughters: Renai (Tom) Ray, Mechanicsville, and Diedre (Darryl) Edwards, Texas, two sisters: Betty Swyers, Marion and Glennis Brawner, Colfax. Norma is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Proceeding Norma in death were her parents: Harry and Verda Wells Covington, brother Harry Covington and sister Weltha. Norma was born April 3, 1930 in Marion. Norma owned and operated Norma's Cakes for many years. She loved to fish, crochet, knit and play board games with her family. A memorial fund has been established.
