Harley Clymer Jr. 'Mick', 73, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Survivors include his children, Brian (Ana) Clymer and Michele Clymer; granddaughters, Briana and Alexa Clymer; sisters, Sandy (Leroy) Colbert and Alma Jean Burks; special nieces and nephews, Corinda Colbert and Jolene Hackert, John Brigman, Paul Brigman, Jennifer Brigman, Tina Clymer Carr, John Scott, and Lori Clymer; former spouse, Peggy; special friend, Robin Reese; and favorite cats, Polly and Rose.
Harley Milton Clymer Jr. was born November 5, 1947, to Harley Sr. and Alma (Trpkosh) Clymer in Cedar Rapids. Harley worked for the railroad for eleven years, and for Alter's Scrap Metal for many years. He enjoyed completing word search puzzles, having a good Pepsi, eating at his favorite restaurants, playing BINGO and traveling to casinos with friends, and fishing. Harley was a great man who was incredibly dedicated to his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a special brother, and his sister Sandy, who he lovingly called 'Andy', will miss him terribly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and special friend, Willie Steward.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Uncle Mickey I will always remember the many times you came down to the court house to see me. It was always a joy to come out the front door and see you waiting there for me along with the many treasures you would find for me in your daily hunts around town. You’ll always be in my heart and I will miss you terribly. Love always Jolene
