Micheal Callahan

Micheal Callahan, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died after a short battle with cancer, on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Callahan home in Cedar Rapids, and in Glendale, Arizona at a later date. Arrangements handled by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Cindy; children, Michael Callahan, Shawn (Jon) Hosey, Robert Baker, and Stephanie (Adam) Bode; grandchildren, Corbin, Makenzie, Drew, Regan, Alex, Robert, Jr., Emily, and Jacob; siblings, Christine (Bill) Goudy and Richard (Eva) Callahan; mother-in-law, Peggy Skersick; and the Skersick family. Micheal Patrick Callahan was born July 2, 1953, to Thomas and Margarete (Angerer) Callahan in Glendale, Arizona. He graduated college with a degree in diesel mechanics. In 1990, he met and later married his love, Cindy Skersick. A longtime member of the Loners MC, Sons of the Legion, and the Eagles, Mike liked nothing better than hitting the road on his Harley. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and working on his model railroad. This strong willed perfectionist was also a loving father and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
