Michael Yaus, 65, of Ely, Iowa, died on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Graveside Services: 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion.
Michael was born on November 28, 1956, the son of George and Evelyn (Burrows) Yaus. He will be remembered for his love of cats, movies, and music, especially Josh Groban and Barbra Streisand. Michael enjoyed staying in touch with his family and many friends through social media. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by several cousins, including Nancy (Lynn) Kalina, Jon Kalina, and Danny Kalina.
Michael was preceded in death his parents; and sister, Michelle.

Mike was a long time friend. We worked together many many years ago and stayed friends since. I will very much miss him and his dark sense of humor.
