Michael 'Duff' Duffy, 72, of Ely, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024. A party will be held at 1:00 p.m., June 22, 2024, at Yocks Landing, Mount Vernon, Iowa.

I was a friend from the 70’s and on. Mike and I went to Des Moines to see It’s a Beautiful Day in concert. On our way home the police stopped us and said we were going the wrong way on a one way street and could we please slow down. Stating that we were lost the officer pointed the way to the interstate. On his way back to his patrol car the officer stated, “be careful and OH turn your headlights on.”
Love it!
Partying with Duff was like no other.
Mike and I are first cousins, we spent a lot of time together through junior high school and then we went different drictions. I’ve seen him occasionally off and on since then. When we were grade school age, we used to sit in a big dog house at our Grandma’s place and put Monster models together and hang the pictures from the box up in the dog house. I keep coming up with so many memories, he could really keep you laughing. He was a wild man. I love him.

Tipi’s, bonfires, trout, camping, canoe trips, St. Paddy’s day, farms, Longmont pubs, drumming sessions, booze runs, great food, great parties, music, singing, Oregon rescue, Colorado stays, solving world problems, the love, hugs, laughter, all the laughter…Duff you had the best laugh. Can’t wait to see you again brother, so we can begin all new adventures together! With lots of Love, Holly & Don
