Mary J. Cahill, 88, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died on Wednesday, August, 11, 2021. Graveside Services: 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Mary was born December 4, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ronald and Hazel (Krause) Lacy. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949. On January 11, 1950, Mary married Patrick Cahill in Tacoma, Washington. She retired from Rockwell Collins in 1984 and moved to Oklahoma where she worked for Murphy's Electronics in Tulsa for a short time.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (Allen) Heintz of North English, Iowa, Steven (Brenda) Cahill of Palo, Iowa, and Kevin (Trisha) Cahill, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Richard Lacy of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Patrick Jr.; son, Ronald; and siblings, Doris Lafler, Philip (Beatrice) Lacy.

Was a great friend. Would walk with me, go fishing with me. Loved my dog, Loulou. Cared for everyone that come through her door. If anybody needed a bed, she had one. She told me ,once a young boy knocked on the door needing a place to sleep for the night but all her beds were taken that night. He said I’ll sleep on the floor so she made him a pallet on the floor. Next morning the blankets were folded and he was gone. Loved you like a mother/grandmother/friend. Love ya and Miss ya Miss Mary
